Lough Neagh Partnership Ltd. hosted a tourism industry stakeholder day on Monday 14th October 2019 at the Lough Neagh Fisheries Visitor Centre in Toomebridge. The focus of the event was to inform stakeholders of the tourism industry about the success of Lough Neagh Tours.

If you have a unique private residence, a farm, if you reside in a quirky or historic building, or you operate a business in and around Lough Neagh, and you are willing to welcome visitors in to experience a taste of your lifestyle, Lough Neagh Partnership would like to hear from you.
This year Lough Neagh Tours experienced an unprecedented number of requests from local and international tour operators seeking bespoke experiences for their heritage hungry tourists and visitors wishing to immerse themselves in what life is like on and around Lough Neagh.
Eimear Kearney, Marketing Officer, Lough Neagh Partnership, said: “We are experiencing somewhat of a tourism revolution here at Lough Neagh. We have already developed a strong Lough Neagh Tours portfolio, popular with visitors from across Ireland and beyond but we would need to meet demand both at home and abroad from visitors by increasing the offering for 2020 and into the next decade.
“We are appealing to people who live within a 10 miles radius of the Lough and who are willing to open up their homes or invite us into their businesses to get in touch with Lough Neagh Partnership to discuss how they can become a Lough Neagh Tours Partner and grasp this opportunity to become involved in sharing our heritage and culture with visitors from across the globe.”
At the stakeholder event, Eimear gave an outline of what itineraries had been developed over the last three years and identified what needs to be done to capture a proportion of the incoming visitors to Ireland.
