Lough Neagh Partnership has exciting new funding through the Skills Development Programme, available until June this year. Funded by the UK Community Renewal Fund, it is based in the communities around Lough Neagh for those living and working in the region.


The programme offers bespoke funded training and is open to everyone interested in learning new skills to meet employment opportunities in the Environmental and Green Recovery Sectors. Accredited courses can be booked with local training providers for example, Lantra or City and Guilds courses in pesticides, invasive species, chainsaw training, HNV farming, tools and machinery, all-terrain vehicle training, powerboat handling. It can fund qualifications to support your green job goals such as IT, Sage Accountancy, First Aid, Health and Safety, CSR Card. Specialist training courses such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, QGIS Mapping or a technical qualification required for a job role within sustainable manufacturing can be funded. Eligible postcodes are BT28, BT29, BT41, BT45, BT62, BT63, BT66, BT67, BT71, BT80. A radius of 15 miles from the shoreline can also be used as a flexible guideline.
