Rare Plants of Lough Neagh & Lough Beg

Take part in a regional discovery of these rare flora as you explore which species call these Loughs their home. With Karl as your guide, you can learn why many are endangered and some extinct, and what we can do to help them re-establish and provide a home for other wildlife. Karl will highlight the unique features of plants which are specially adapted to live in bogs, and which still exist around the shores of these Loughs.

Dragonfly Identification Workshop with Robert Thompson

Robert Thompson has a particular interest in dragonflies, butterflies and moths and has written and published extensively, both as an entomologist and photographer. He is an acclaimed specialist on Macro Photography and travels widely in Europe, documenting and delivering workshops on natural history and photography. He is author of ‘Guide to The Dragonflies and Damselflies of Ireland’.
